LAGOS — In a significant milestone underscoring its commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction, three subsidiaries of SIFAX Group have secured the ISO 9001:2015 certification for Quality Management Systems (QMS).

The certified companies are Ports & Cargo Handling Services Limited, SIFAX Shipping Company Limited, and SIFAX Nigeria Limited, marking another important step in the Group’s drive to institutionalise globally recognised standards across its operations.

The ISO 9001:2015 standard provides a framework for organisations to establish effective quality management systems and consistently deliver products and services that meet customer expectations as well as applicable regulatory requirements.

The certification process culminated in a formal presentation ceremony held for the SIFAX Group, where the project consultants, West Sealand International Security Services Limited (WSI), commended the participating companies for their strong operational foundations and commitment to quality.

Speaking at the presentation, Ope Bashorun, Chief Executive Officer of West Sealand International Security Services Limited, described the certification journey as a positive experience, noting that the high operational standards already maintained by the subsidiaries made the audit and certification process considerably more seamless.

“In the 21st-century workplace, standards are becoming a differentiation factor. The competitiveness of the business environment and the need to deliver quality make them even more imperative for any business that has a long-term vision,” Bashorun said.

He expressed WSI’s satisfaction with the successful completion of the certification process, adding that the new quality management systems would contribute positively to the companies’ operations and service delivery.

“We are delighted to have worked with you through all the stages, and we are convinced the certification will positively impact service delivery,” he added.

The ISO certification represents more than an international quality credential for the SIFAX subsidiaries. It demonstrates their commitment to structured processes, continuous improvement, operational consistency, regulatory compliance and enhanced customer experience.

As competition intensifies across Nigeria’s maritime, logistics and transportation sectors, the adoption of internationally recognised management systems positions SIFAX Group’s subsidiaries to operate with greater efficiency, accountability and consistency while reinforcing their capacity to meet evolving customer and industry requirements.

The achievement further reflects SIFAX Group’s broader commitment to building businesses that are not only competitive, but also quality-driven, globally aligned and prepared for sustainable long-term growth.
